Your calendar can be set to require a booking request, which means the customer must ask for a time first, and it must be approved by an Admin before it's confirmed. When a customer requests a booking online, you will see a red flag icon on the requested booking that looks like this:
How To Approve a Booking Request as an admin:
- Click on the booking, select Request and change to "Unpaid" (or any other payment method)
- Select Notify to notify the customer that their booking request is approved- then select Update to approve the booking request, and the customer will receive an email letting them know their booking request was approved.
Alternative ways to Approve a Booking Request:
- Directly from the calendar by clicking on the booking and Editing it
- Using the orange booking counter tool in the top right corner and editing it from this tool
Option 1: Directly from the calendar
Option 2: Using Admin top bar counter tool in top right corner (requests will show up in Red)
TIP: You can use Admin Notifications in the Admin Accounts tab to choose which admin gets alerts when a customer requests an online booking, and whether they get the alert by text or email.
